Our Sunday morning service starts with Family School: a 30 minute age integrated Bible lesson designed for all members of the family. Pastor Folk teaches a practical lesson from the Bible that can be applied during the week, engaging the young ones with questions, stories, and illustrations. It’s an interactive time, and families are given resources to further their study of the lesson at home.
After Family School, there is a short break. A staffed nursery for ages 0-2 is available for the rest of the service. For children age 2-4, there is a child training class which includes Bible lessons, craft time, and prepares little ones to one day sit in the “big service.” Families that want to keep their babies and little children with them in the service are welcome to do so. A comfortable nursing mother’s room is available with a closed circuit monitor of the service.
Old Paths values congregational singing, and our worship service is a time to sing the great hymns of the faith. We are blessed to have a large orchestra of strings, winds, and brass, as well as piano and organ. Choirs, ensemble groups, and families regularly prepare special music for the Worship Service.
The preaching and teaching of God’s word is the main focus of our services. We believe that the King James Version of the Bible is the inspired, preserved Word of God, and we use it exclusively in all of our ministries.
